UML says no to foreign meddling in leftist unity

Kathmandu, Jan 6: CPN (UML) secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has warned the foreign forces not to unnecessarily meddle in the leftist alliance’s unity.

Addressing a program organized by lawmakers elected to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly from Taplejung district here today, he said the unity among the leftists was Nepal’s internal matter and the foreign forces should not unnecessarily interfere in this matter. The program was organised to thank the people for electing them.
He claimed that no power could foil the leftist unity and Nepal’s communists will unite sooner than later. The UML secretary alleged the Election Commission of not declaring the results of the House of Representatives proportional representation elections wrongly interpreting the constitution. He urged the commission to make public the results without further delay.
Leader Bhattarai underscored the need of initiating a campaign of economic prosperity for the development of the country.
Also the chief of the UML Publicity Department, Bhattarai said Taplejung’s developmental face would change in five years from now. “Motorable road will reach all places in Taplejung in five years the people there will get to see and feel development,” he said and expressed the commitment to turn the many possibilities of development in the district into reality.
Province Assembly members elected from Taplejung district, Bal Bahadur Samsohang and Tanka Aangbuhang vowed to work for the development and prosperity of their district. (RSS)
