Dhading, July 22: Two persons were killed in separate accidents in Dhading district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as nine-year-old Ranjit Magar of Thaha municipality of Makawanpur district, and Sujat Bhandari, 19, of Jwalamukhi rural municipality-4 of Dhading district.
Magar died on the spot when a truck (Ba 6 Pa 5175) heading towards Kathmandu from Birgunj hit the child at Thakre rural municipality-8, according to Chief at the District Police Office, Damber Bahadur BK.
Police have arrested the truck driver and impounded the vehicle.
Similarly, motorcyclist Bhandari died when the school bus (Ba 92 Pa 8110) en route to Malekhu from Dhadingbesi hit the motorcycle (Ba 2 Kha 8996) at Siddhalekh rural municipality.
Two pillion riders, who were injured in road mishap, are undergoing treatment at Gajuri Primary Health Centre. (RSS)
