Kathmandu, April 19 : The case filed against former Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli on contempt of court was scrapped on Thursday.
The joint bench of Acting Chief Justice Dipak Raj Joshi and Justice Tej Bahadur KC scrapped the case stating that no such evidence was found to file the case on contempt of court.
Legal practitioner Manoj Adhikari had lodged the case on February 27 claiming that Parajuli while leading the judiciary misused the rights of the judiciary.
In his petition, Adhikari had claimed that Parajuli deserves a case on contempt of court for issuing life threat to advocate Dr Surendra Bhandari and enjoying the top post of the judiciary with fake academic credentials. (RSS)
