Pokhara, March 5: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Kaski organised a condolence programme at the house of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari on the seventh day of his demise here today.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nVarious leaders speaking on the occasion paid tributes to the late Adhikari and said true tribute to him would be to complete the development campaign that the late Minister had initiated.<\/span> <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nOn the occasion, the speakers recalled the late Adhikari as a skilled organizer and development lover.<\/span> <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nNCP local committee member and Gandaki State Chief Minister, Prithvi Subba Gurung, said Adhikari’s death has caused irreparable loss to the nation and the party organisation. He added that the late Adhikari’s contribution to the development of the tourism sector was incomparable, stressing on the need of completing the construction of the Pokhara, Nijgadh and Gautam Buddha, among other airports initiated by him on time.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nThe Chief Minister also said that the late Adhikari’s plan of attracting two million tourists into the country in 2020 should be materialized and all the three tiers of governments should work towards that end in a coordinated and active manner.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nJoint in-charge of NCP Gandaki State and former minister Khagaraj Adhikari said the late Adhikari’s role for the country’s prosperity and development was significant.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nChair of NCP Gandaki State and former minister Hitraj Pandey remembered the late Adhikari as a leader who was always thinking for the development of youth and nation’s progress.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nAdhikari’s spouse Bidya Bhattarai expressed gratitude for the rich tributes to Adhikari and condolences to the family by the State, party and the general public. She said internalising the late Adhikari’s thinking and materializing the development initiatives he had undertaken were the need of the hour. Bhattarai said that Adhikari had given his much time to the nation and the society than to the family, recalling his positive attitude.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nA condolence letter was handed to the Adhikari family on behalf the party.<\/span> <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nGandaki State Assembly member Krishna Bahadur Thapa and Damodar Bairagi also eulogized the late Adhikari’s contribution.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nNCP Kaski party mechanism member and Gandaki State Assembly member Deepak Koirala presided over the programme.<\/span> <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>
\nVarious leaders including Nepali Congress leader and former minister Yagya Bahadur Thapa and family members of the late Adhikari garlanded a portrait of the late leader.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>
