Birgunj, March 31: At least 27 people have lost their lives and scores have been injured when a storm hit Nepal’s Parsa and Bara districts of southern plains on Sunday evening, local authorities and media reports said.<\/p>\n
According to local media reports, 400 people have been injured in various locations of the two districts and many of them are undergoing treatment at local medical centres including the Narayan Sub-regional hospital. A significant amount of property was also destroyed as houses were damaged as a result of the windstorm.
\nLocal residents, policemen, and army personnel are involved in the rescue and relief mission.<\/p>\n
