Los Angeles, Jan. 20: The newly elected committee members of California Chapter of Non-Resident Nepali Association of USA took oath of office and secrecy amidst a program in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The outgoing committee president Purna Chandra Baniya handed over official documents and presented account details to new President Ram Babu Pandey. Senior Vice President of NRN NCC of USA Sunil Sah administered the oath of office to the 15- member committee.
Honorary Consul General of the Government of Nepal Rishi Dhakal, planning commission member of the City of Artesia Bhakta Thapa, Honorary Public Relations Representative of Nepal Tourism Board Rameshor Bhandari, Deputy Women’s Regional Coordinator of RRN ICC Sangita Lamsal Siwakoti, NRN ICC members Bal Ram Thapa and Dilli Bhattarai, Regional Vice President Uma Karki Thapa, Women’s Coordinator Indira Tripathi, Nepali Public Relations Committee central member Gokul Dhakal, among others, addressed the program.
Nepali artists, including Suraj Shrestha, entertained the participants who were bored due to the lengthy speeches of NRN officers from different Committees.
