Kathmandu, Jan 19 (RSS): President Bidya Devi Bhandari has administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed governors (chief of provinces) amid a function at her office Sheetal Niwas in the capital city Friday.
Dr Govinda Subba Tumbahang of Province-1, Ratneshwar Lal Kayastha of Province-2, Anuradha Koirala of Province-3, Baburam Kunwar of Province-4, Umakanta Jha of Province-5, Durga Keshar Khanal of Province-6 and Mohanraj Malla of Province-7 took the oath of office and secrecy from the President.The meeting of the Council of Ministers had recommended them as the governors two days ago.
Present on the occasion were Vice-President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Ministers, chiefs of constitutional bodies, and high ranking government officials among other VIPs.
