President Donald Trump has vowed to veto national emergency declaration at the US-Mexico border after his measure lost its support from the Republican-majority Senate on Thursday. 
In an immediate reaction to the Senate vote on Thursday, Trump tweeted that he would veto the measure. In Thursday’s vote to block the president’s emergency declaration, 12 Republicans voted with Democrats to pass the resolution. The Democratic Party controls the House of Representatives.
