Dallas, January 21: A Nepali immigrant worker was shot and killed at a convenience store in Garland, Texas, on Saturday night, police said. The deceased man, whose identity has been withheld at the request of his close family members, is reported to be a new immigrant from central Nepal.
According to the police, two black man entered the store attempting to rob the clerk at gunpoint, and “a struggle ensued between the clerk and the suspects; during the struggle the clerk was shot and killed.” The detectives are investigating the incident.
Robberies are common at gas stations and convenience stores in America, and most employers train their employees not to try to prevent robberies, but inform the police after the robbers leave the store.
