Los Angeles: Three destructive fires have killed at least 25 people and forced evacuations of thousands of Californians since Thursday, reports said on Sunday.
At least 23 people have died and 100 are missing in the Camp fire in Northern California’s Butte County. The fire has destroyed 6,453 homes and 260 commercial structures, and an additional 15,000 structures are threatened, LA Times reported.
Likewise, Southern California’s Woolsey fire has burned homes in Malibu, Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks while threatening parts of Simi Valley and West Hills. Two deaths have been reported, and at least 250,000 residents have been evacuated.
Another Southern California fire, the Hill fire, has pushed through canyons to the edge of Camarillo Springs and Cal State Channel Islands, burning more than 4,000 acres. Firefighters are battling these fires.
